eTrust Privacy Certifications needs to be renewed every year, however if you change your privacy statement mid term you must notify eTrust for reassessment before using the eTrust seal or indicating that it has been
During re-assessment eTrust will check whether your new privacy statement meets our privacy requirements. If eTrust deem it necessary, you must comply with certain corrective measures regarding the changes for reassessment to be effective.
Once we have approved your new privacy statement you may continue to use the eTrust seal on your website.
A reassessment fee of US$125 will be charged every time the Licensee submits a changed privacy statement to be re-assessed. There is no limit to the number of times the Licensee can submit the privacy statement to eTrust to be reassessed.
If the Licensee changes their certified privacy statement without reassessment by eTrust then their certification will be revoked. eTrust will take all necessary steps, including legal action, to ensure the usage conditions of the seal are adhered to.
